‘Okay, 1, 2, 3, jump!’

‘I —
Okay.’

‘We did it.
We made it out.
Eliza!
We did it!
Eliza?’

‘Yeah.
We so nearly —
We could’ve —
We almost didn’t.

Thank you.’

‘Mum?
Are you here?
--
We —
We heard her?
Didn’t we?
I didn’t imagine it.
I heard her.
She was out.
She was calling for us.
Right?’

‘I shouldn’t have lied.’

‘It’s okay.’

‘I just —’

‘Eliza it’s Fine!
I don’t Care!
Mum’s up!
The maiden’s saved!
Where is she?’

‘Her door’s ajar.
Look.’

Scene_61_Blue_Jumper

‘She went back in?’

‘Riley, don’t.’

‘But she was just —
We can just wake her up again.’

‘In a little bit.
Okay?
Riley, come back.’

‘Mama?
Nothing, just breathing.
She’s down there.
Stuck in the dark.
We swapped places.’

Scene_62_Blue_Jumper

‘Yes.
But —
She’s got out before.
And we have too.’

‘Yeah.’

‘What now?

‘I don’t know.’

‘We could play more.’

‘I don’t think I feel like it.’

‘No, me neither.’

‘I’m tired.
Can we take a nap?’

‘Yeah.
Course.’

They start moving towards the bedroom.

‘We’ll have a nap.
And then when we wake up —
Maybe she’ll be back.
She’ll be up and ready.
And she’ll come and finish off the dragon with us.’

‘Maybe it’ll be different.
This will be the time.’

‘My teacher at school always says everything looks better in the morning.’

‘She’s right.’

‘Yeah, I think so too.’
